Section 01

What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device — computer, tablet, or smartphone — when you visit. They allow the website to recognise your device on subsequent visits and remember certain information about your session.

Cookies serve different purposes. Some are strictly necessary for a website to function. Others are used to understand how visitors use a site so that its owners can improve it. We use cookies only for the latter analytical purpose and for the essential operation of the site.

Cookies do not give us access to your device, and they cannot carry viruses or install malware.

Section 02

How We Use Cookies

Prime Growth Capital Partners uses cookies on www.pgcp.co.za for two purposes only:

What We Do Not Do

We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or behavioural profiling.

We do not use cookies to identify you as an individual or to track you across other websites.

We do not sell cookie data or share it with third parties for commercial purposes.

Section 04

Google Analytics in Detail

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information about how visitors use our site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of www.pgcp.co.za is transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

We have enabled IP anonymisation on our Google Analytics implementation. This means that Google truncates your IP address before it is stored, so your precise location cannot be determined from the data we collect.

The data we receive from Google Analytics is aggregated and does not identify you as an individual. We use it only to understand broad traffic patterns — for example, which pages on our site are most visited, and whether visitors arrive via search engines, direct links, or referrals.

Google's Own Privacy Commitment

Google's processing of data collected through Google Analytics is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Google acts as a data processor on our behalf for analytics purposes. We have accepted Google's data processing terms consistent with our obligations under POPIA section 21.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Section 05

Third-Party Cookies

Beyond Google Analytics, we do not knowingly permit third-party cookies to be set through our website. In particular:

If you arrive at our site via a link from a social media platform or third-party website, that platform may have set its own cookies on your device before you arrived. We have no control over, or responsibility for, those cookies. Please refer to the respective platform's cookie or privacy policy for details.

Section 06

Your Choices & How to Opt Out

You have several options for controlling cookies on our website and more broadly across your browser:

Google Analytics Opt-Out

Install the official Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. This prevents Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits to any website that uses it, including ours.

Browser-Level Cookie Controls

All modern browsers allow you to view, block, or delete cookies through their settings. Instructions for the most common browsers are below:

Google Chrome
Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data. You can block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or clear existing cookies. support.google.com/chrome
Mozilla Firefox
Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data. Firefox Enhanced Tracking Protection blocks many third-party trackers by default. support.mozilla.org
Apple Safari
Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data. Safari blocks cross-site tracking cookies by default via Intelligent Tracking Prevention. support.apple.com
Microsoft Edge
Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data. Edge offers Balanced and Strict tracking prevention modes. support.microsoft.com

Please note that blocking or deleting essential cookies may affect the normal functioning of our website. Blocking analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use any feature of the site.

Section 07

Cookie Retention Periods

Cookie retention periods are set out in the inventory in Section 03. As a general principle:

Section 08

Changes to This Policy

We review this Cookie Policy at least annually and whenever we make a material change to our use of cookies. The effective date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision.

If we introduce new categories of cookies or third-party tracking tools, we will update this policy and the cookie inventory in Section 03 before deploying them on the website.

We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies.
